Apply in the spring and fall just before weed seeds germinate. Corn gluten is proven to stop the growth of new roots, killing the weed seed. It is also an effective fertilizer. Do not use on newly seeded lawns. Allow at least 12 weeks before using corn gluten on a new lawn.
